We Are Water

More than sixty researchers, citizens remind us in this essay that water is at the heart of life – we are 80% made of water! Nowadays, while we speak about biodiversity, greener economy and lifestyle, those who have plenty of water tend to take it for granted... and thus to neglect it. Because of our irrational and irresponsible use, we cause serious granted damages to future generations.
Plastic contaminates oceans, we can even find pesticides in whales' fat. Ocean, lungs of our earth, is in danger because it absorbs all terrestrial pollutions. And let us not forget that 30% of earth populations has no access to drinkable water.
How will we manage tomorrow's water in a more ecological, fair and localized way? Pierre Rabhi warns us: our relation to water needs to change; we must be conscious of its irreplaceable value. Water, today contaminated and wasted, may become tomorrow one of the solutions for the main problems of our society.
